    • Satisfaction of the minimum requirement
    • Evaluation criteria: clarity of opinion, rationality of argument, creativity about new ideas, depth of own philosophy about the topic
• Do NOT put the instructions in your essay.
• Do NOT put your name and personal information in your essay.
• Writing guidelines
  • Apply appropriate paragraphing
  • Space between paragraphs
  • Provide sub titles for each subtopic
  • Visualize your thoughts with appropriate figures
  • Put your own drawings/sketches for a subtopic related to ideation

• Use of Generative AI

  • The essay writing is aimed to help students to have a clear understanding and ideas regarding major concepts delivered through the course. The essay is NOT a report or a summary of knowledge. The essay, just like a diary, is to express students’ thoughts, ideas, opinions, arguments, discussions, agreements, or critiques in non-strict writing styles or formats. In this sense, use of Generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT) is partly encouraged if it can help students to expand their own ideas or to translate the contents in other languages appropriately.
